Overview
I created a unique clothing collection that brings 3D characters to life on real garments, blending digital art with fashion. This project involved mastering 3D modeling, graphic design, and multimedia promotion, all while navigating the technical aspects of launching an online store and integrating print-on-demand technology.

I created a unique clothing collection that brings 3D characters to life on real garments, blending digital art with fashion. 3D Modeling & Animation
Kicking off the project was the 3D work, where I had to create the five distinct characters using assets that were already available, and then tweaking them to my liking, including changing the base meshes with sculpting tools and altering the shaders.
All of these characters were then animated for a promotional teaser that was used to stir up excitement.

Making Print Ready Designs
Creating compelling design is one thing, but also keeping the boundaries of DTG (direct-to-garment) printing in mind while forging your ideas is another.
As this was my first time ever working with DTG prints, I had some issues early on in the first versions, but I didn't stop researching the process and therefore the prints came out looking like they were meant to.

AI Prompting
While the characters are interesting in themselves from an aesthethic standpoint, I wanted to give them some more life and personality, so before I even started working on them I used AI to help me forge some light story and worldbuilding for these characters.
I also managed to include their short biography in the various designs, tying them together.

Multimedia Marketing
As the sole worker on this project, I had to do all of the heavy lifting myself, which has gained me some great experience and knowledge.
For this project specifically, other than creating the designs and setting everything up, I also had to market the collection, or "drop".
I created a teaser, a reveal animation, and other static images that presented the project to my social media. I gained help from other creatives to share my collection.

Website & Set-up
The final part in this big project was to set-up the storefront website, and also making the shipping, paying, and printing part work with the Print-On-Demand services that were available to me.
I used Shopify for a simple and clean storefront, and then I used Printify to handle the prints and orders.

RESULTS
Creating this project was a great opportunity for me to learn a bunch of new things and get hands-on experience with designing, producing and delivering a creative service from my own brand.
I'm proud of what came out of this as a solo project, and I'm happy to work with other great thinkers and clients to put these experiences and skills to use.
While I didn't do a thousand sales, I did manage to get some shirts sold to my small audience, and I got a heap of great feedback and knowledge.
The things I learned includes:
